Now that St. Patrick's Day is over and everyone has (hopefully) recovered it's time to talk about Easter.
As a kid I'm sure you received copious amounts of candy on Easter without reciprocating any gifts to your mom. As an adult that candy has turned into socks or other ''practical' gifts that we must receive with a smile and a thank you despite thinking we really still wanted candy. Another effect of celebrating Easter as an adult is the necessity to give a gift as well as receive it.
Thin Ice has a gift that is shaped like a sugary treat but actually serves a practical purpose! Locally handmade 'cupcakes' are really foaming bath fizzies. Never heard of a fizzy? It's the latest in personal pampering. When you decide you deserve a long overdue indulgent bath place the fizzy under the running water as the bathtub is filling and watch the water fizz and foam with wonderful scents in the form of essential, moisturizing oils that then infuse the bath water to leave your skin lightly scented and wonderfully nourished.
In addition to foaming bath fizzy 'cupcakes' local artist Amanda, of BonaDeaSoaps also makes fizzy bath balls in a variety of scents such as lavendar, patchouli, and others, along with some red raspberry lip balm. Personally I think it's nice to know exactly what I'm putting on my body and to have it made by a local artist is even better.
This is a perfect Easter gift for someone special or just a great treat to pick up for yourself. Bonadea Soaps also makes an incredible Coffee Scrub Bar infused with coffee beans. Stop in just to smell it!
