Mother Earth Pop Up Market

Friends! Mother's Day is around the corner and this year is the year you're going to get her a gift DAYS beforehand! After all, when you stop at the store on the way to brunch to frantically pick up flowers and a card, she knows you forgot to buy her a gift. She can see the panic in your eyes.  She is your mother, after all.
Thin Ice Gift Shop has teamed up with a group of fantastic local artists to make Mother's Day gift buying a piece of cake this year.  On Thursday, April 28th, from 5pm-9pm, shop directly from local artists who use sustainable, eco-friendly, and upcycled materials to bring you one of a kind, handmade gifts your mom will cherish.
While mom deserves the utmost of quality, the thoughtfulness of your gift giving will be the icing on the cake.  Shopping at a local store, purchasing from a local artist means so much more than going to a big box store and buying an item that was mass produced to be given to lots of moms out there.  Your mom is unique, as you well know (you know that thing she does whenever you go out to dinner?  Or how about when she calls you and you try to get off the phone; yeah, good luck with that) so why not buy her a gift as unique as she is?
So who will be making your gift buying fun and easy this year?  In addition to the hundreds of local artists at Thin Ice year round, the Mother Earth Pop Up Market also brings you...

C Designs, a local company bringing you cards, stationery, wedding invitations, logo design, and everything in between. All images are original as well as fun and creative.

Yeah Buffalo, a local social media and photography company focused on showcasing the amazingness in and around Buffalo through breathtaking photographs and engaging social media.

Speakeasy Works, a local design company custom producing handbags, purses, messenger bags, table runners, and much more. These are incredibly well made with a focus on vintage, repurposed, and buffalo themes.
Rusterior Design, a local clothing company bringing you shirts, scarves, sweatshirts, and lots of adorable kids' clothes, all made with water based, eco-friendly dyes.

Alpine Made, a local company bringing you organic goat's milk hand and face products.  Lip balms, soaps, lotions, and more, this is a great company offering something for everyone.

Lady Fingers Handmade, a local fiber company making all sorts of fun scarves, bowties, coasters, pen/pencil accessories, and all sorts of other fun crocheted or knitted things. They are definitely worth checking out!

Paperette, a local stationery company making really inventive cards and stationery from upcycled newspapers, textbook pages, and books.  These are so well done and such a great diversion of what would normally go into a landfill.

Love By Bean, a very innovative local company offering you seed bombs made in plantable paper.  Mom loves to garden, right? Buy her some seeds to plant and think of you every time she looks out her window.

Now how about some food and drinks?  It's not a party or event unless there is food.  A lil coffee never hurt either.

Public Coffee + Espresso, our favorite local coffee company bringing you delicious pour over coffee and espresso.  These guys are such a treat to work with.

Nature's Apothecary, a local restaurant offering delicious vegan treats.  From salads to donuts, they make it all and it is so good and totally vegan.

So you see, this event has it all.  You will be caffeinated, fed, and feel great about supporting the local artist community and best of all, mom will be happy. You are not limited to shopping for mom, of course.  Purchases for oneself are encouraged as well.  Go on, you deserve to treat yourself.

See you soon!
